EXEMPLARS

Practice in Science and Humanities is vital to growth as a nurse. I am a strong researcher and strong in my practice with evidence-based research. I am not as strong in areas of quality improvement and organizational sciences, however, I know that with continued practice, I will improve in this area.

This Evidence-based practice paper discussed Kawaski disease. This paper met the essential by discussing the common treatments for this disease process and how to diagnose. I am very interested in Cardiology and this disease process discussed this and I believe it shows.

ABDOMINAL DISTENTION SOAP NOTE

This SOAP notes discussed the common presentation of abdominal distention in primary care. This SOAP demonstrates my knowledge of common pathophysiological reasons for this presentation and the common treatments.

The data dive was a group project which included looking at several websites and comparing the quality of care between three hospitals. This comparison meets this essential by comparing public health and continual improvement of nursing areas as the treatment areas investigated can improve patient care and outcomes.

The grand nursing theory paper discusses Imogene King and her development of the theory of goal attainment. I met this essential as this theory is important to implement when caring for both the acute and primary care patient as a nurse practitioner.
